 The Palace of Grand Masters on the inside of the old city used to be the official residence of the most prominent knight. After some earthquakes the palace got definately destructed by an explosion of ammunition after shattering lightbolts. Only in the 20th century the Italians reconstructed it.
 Het Grootmeesters Paleis binnen de muren van de oude stad was de ambtswoning van de hoogste ridder. Na enkele aardbevingen werd het paleis definitief verwoest door een explosie van munitie na blikseminslag. Pas in het midden van de 20ste eeuw werd het weer gereconstrueerd door de Italianen.
