 On our way to the Colca Valley we saw a lot of lamas that were decorated with colored wool in their ears. You see lamas grazing on different spots in the extensive landscape or you see them in the cages built of stones by the shepards, waiting to get out. These lamas were standing next to a large lump of ice. Their shepards where about 9 years old.
 Onderweg naar de Colca Canyon zagen we veel lama's die versierd waren met gekleurde wol in hun oren. Je ziet lama's grazen op verschillende plekken in het weidse landschap of in hun door herders gemaakte hok van stenen staan te wachten tot ze eruit mogen. Deze lama's stonden op grote hoogte naast een brok ijs. De herders die erbij stonden waren een jaar of 9.
