Colca Canyon - Chivay

Chivay is one of the best known villages in the Colca Valley. Arriving from Arequipa you first have to get over a 5000 metre pass before descending hundreds of metres to the little village. We met these pretty dressed girls on the village square where they were waiting for tourists to take pictures of them with their sheep and their lama. In Peru it's never a coincidence when you see an adorable child with a cute sheep on a square, right after your picture is taken you are expected to give them a sol.
