The Chauchilla Cemetery, close to Nazca, used to be the place where the Nazcas burried their dead. The Nazcas lived in this area before the Incas and also are responsible for the mysterious lines in the desert. Unfortunately the graves were all opened by robbers who took the valuables and the mummies were left in the desert like they were dirt. The sun and the wind could damage them for 80 long years, but still some of them are in a very good shape.
