There are many things that need a closer look in the museum village Zaanse Schans. You can check out the exposition of the very first Albert Heijn shop in the green house with the bell-shaped gable for example, with old pots, packings, balances etcetera. Once Albert Heijn started as a small grocer shop but nowadays it's grown one of the biggest supermarkets of The Netherlands.
In het museumdorp Zaanse Schans is van alles te zien. Zo is in het groene huis met de klokvormige gevel de inrichting van de allereerste vestiging van de Albert Heijn te zien, met oude voorraadpotten, verpakkingen en weegschalen e.d. Ooit begonnen als kruidenierswinkel is Albert Heijn inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een grote supermarktketen.
