From Jodhpur fort you have a clear view of why this place is called the blue city. Once only the Brahmins were allowed to paint their houses blue and that's why most of the blue houses can still be found in one area.
Vanuit het fort van Jodhpur is goed te zien waarom deze stad ook wel de blauwe stad genoemd wordt. Ooit mochten alleen de Brahmanen hun huizen blauw schilderen en daarom is met name één wijk in de stad nog altijd bijzonder blauw.
