This boy in Ban Nong Tong is wearing his best clothes for the new year, which the Lisu people celebrate on exactly the same dates as the Chinese. During the three days of the celebrations there is free food for everyone, prepared by the women who take turns in cooking. A bit earlier this little chap was still eating, but to be taken a picture off is a bit scary for him.
Dit jongetje in Ban Nong Tong heeft zijn mooiste kleren aan voor het nieuwjaar dat door de Lisu gelijk wordt gevierd met de Chinezen. Tijdens de drie dagen dat het feest duurt is er voor iedereen gratis eten, dat bij toerbeurt door de vrouwen wordt klaargemaakt. Even eerder stond dit ventje nog smakelijk te eten, maar op de foto gaan vindt hij een beetje eng.
