The Ararat vulcano near Doğubayazit measures over 5000 meters and that makes it the highest mountain of Turkey. The surroundings of the mountain are bare and arid and no more then a couple of succulents or thistles will grow here.

De Ararat vulkaan bij Doğubayazit is meer dan 5000 meter hoog en daarmee de hoogste berg van Turkije. De omgeving van de berg is kaal en dor en op een enkele vetplant of distel na groeit er helemaal niks.
