On Elephantine Island, in the middle of the Nile in Aswan, are two wonderful Nubian villages situated. The brightly colored houses are made of clay. The past century life hasn't changed much here. That seems kind of special so close to the big city.

Op Elephantine Island, midden in de Nijl in Aswan, liggen twee prachtige Nubische dorpjes. De felgekleurde huisjes zijn gemaakt van klei. Het leven lijkt hier de afgelopen honderd jaar maar weinig veranderd. En dat zo dicht bij een grote stad.
