Kathakali is an ancient Keralan tradition of performing. The main player starts applying the make-up to his own face a couple of hours before the show starts. Then he gets into his costume and this is the final result.
Kathakali is een eeuwenoude traditie van toneelspel in Kerala. De hoofdrolspeler begint al een paar uur voor de voorstelling met het schmincken van zijn eigen gezicht. Daarna moet hij zichzelf in z’n pak hijsen en dit is het eindresultaat.
