The most important village in Centovalli (Hundred Valleys) is Intragna. Here you'll find some authentic houses and a nice village-green with colorfull houses and the highest belltower of Ticino. The Centovalli train rides daily through this area, with a stop in Intragna as well and is a great opportunity to discover the mountainious landscape.
