  The Suleyman Mosque in the old centre of Rhodes was built in 1523. By then the young Sultan Suleyman just conquered the island with his army. Nowadays the mosque is just in use on some fridays, for the rest it's closed.

  De Suleiman Moskee in het oude centrum van Rhodos werd gebouwd in 1523. De jonge Sultan Suleiman had toen net met zijn leger het eiland veroverd. De moskee wordt alleen nog op vrijdag af en toe gebruikt, verder is hij dicht.
