Mario Lago ordered to build the health resort Kalithea in the 20's of the 20th century, but after a while it got deteriorated. In the beginning of the 21st century he complex got completely renovated and in July 2007 Kalithea was open for visitors again. When we were here they were busy restoring parts of the mosaļc floors, a heavy job demanding a lot of patience too.
Het kuuroord Kalithea werd in opdracht van Mario Lago gebouwd in de jaren 20 van de 20ste eeuw, maar raakte op den duur in verval. Begin 21ste eeuw werd het complex volledig gerestaureerd en in juli 2007 ging Kalithea weer open voor publiek. Toen wij er waren was men druk bezig delen van de mozaļekvloeren te hestellen, zwaar werk waarvoor je ook een flinke portie geduld nodig hebt.
