The Matthias Church (Matyas Templon) is situated on top of the Castle Hill, next to the Fishermen's Bastion and in this church the last kings of Hungary were crowned. Most striking on the outside are the colorful roofingtiles, but when you come inside you will be surprised by the wonderful paintings on all of the walls. The church has many beautiful details and is really worth to pay a visit to.
De Matthias kerk (Matyas Templon) ligt op de burchtheuvel, naast het Vissersbastion en in deze kerk werden de laatste koningen van Hongarije gekroond. Aan de buitenkant van deze Gotische kerk vallen vooral de prachtige gekleurde dakpannen op, maar binnen zijn het de prachtige schilderingen op alle muren die meteen in het oog springen. De kerk heeft veel mooie details en is een bezichtiging aa de binnenkant meer dan waard.
