On the first night in Ulan Bator we had the chance to see a Mongolian Traditions Show. Opposite to most of our fellow travellers, we liked the idea of going there. It turned out to be a good choice. We are glad we didn't miss this: several kinds of dances, like a Tsamdance and a Shamanist-dance were performed. A shortened and (probably) touristic version, but all very beautifull and colorful. The same can be said of the Mongolian artists that came to play their typical Mongolian instruments or let us hear their (throat-)singing. Also the bend-backs impressed us. We really enjoyed this show!

Op onze eerste avond in Ulan Bator hadden we de kans om een Mongolian Traditions Show mee te maken. In tegenstelling tot de meeste van onze medereizigers leek ons dit wel wat. En het bleek een goede keuze. We hadden dit zeker niet willen missen: verschillende soorten dans, zoals en Tsamdans en een sjamaandans werden uitgevoerd. Een verkorte en (waarschijnlijk) toeristische versie, maar allemaal erg mooi en kleurrijk. Dat geldt ook voor de artiesten die hun typisch Mongoolse instrumenten kwamen bespelen of hun (keel-)zang lieten horen. Ook van de slangemensen waren wij zeer onder de indruk. Wij vonden deze voorstelling een doorslaand succes!
