Ulan Bator > Zaisan Memorial Photo
The Zaisan monumant lies on a hill, high above the city. From the top of the hill you've got a spectacular view over Ulaanbaatar, but the stairs are very steep. The monument itself is for the remembrance of the unknown Mongolian and Russian soldiers. On the backside you will find another ovoo and you'll get an idea about the looks of the hills behind the capital.
Het Zaisan monument ligt op een heuvel, hoog boven de stad. Vanaf de top van de heuvel heb je een spectaculair uitzicht over Ulaanbaatar, maar de klim is behoorlijk steil. Het monument zelf is er één ter nagedachtenis aan de onbekende Mongoolse en Russische soldaat. Aan de achterkant vindt je weer een ovoo en krijg je een idee van hoe het heuvelland achter de hoofdstad er uitziet.
